SUMMARY:HSMAI Afternoon meeting in Amsterdam on Revenue Strategy and Marketing
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\nGood news! We just got the information in that one of our very active members in the US\, Loren Gray\, will be in Amsterdam when we have our event this month. He is a digital expert in the hospitality industry and has a lot of passion and competence about the topic. He often speaks at our events in the US so we invited him to speak at our event too. See the updated program below. \nMaking it all work\, the step by step daily integration of marketing\, and revenue management & Learn from a Revenue Manager how GMs and others can get the most out of the Revenue Management team\nWe will focus on how to establish a common understanding of strategy and expectations – and work on a long-term perspective. \nTime: Tuesday 21 May at 14:00\nPlace: Lloyd Hotel (34 Oostelijke Handelskade\, 1019 BN\, Amsterdam)\nTarget Group: General Managers & Assistant General Managers\, Revenue Managers\, Commercial leaders and others \nSIGN UP HERE! \nProgramme:\n[/vc_column_text][mk_table]\n\n\n\n\nTime\nWhat\n\n\n\n\n\n\n14:00-14:30\nRegistration\, coffee and networking\n\n\n\n\n14:30-14:40\nWelcome by HSMAI Region Europe\n\n\n\n\n14:40-16:00\n\nLearn from a Revenue Manager how GMs and others can get the most out of the Revenue Management team \nBy Dave Overeem\, CRME\, Corporate Revenue Manager\, Inntel Hotels \n\n\n\n\n\n16.00-16:40\n\nMaking it all work\, the step by step daily integration of marketing\, and revenue management \nHistory is filled with examples of great companies failing due to a lack of communication that we now call ‘siloing’. ‘To big to fail’ places like IBM and Sony who once dominated their markets now trail or have been outright removed\, all because departments did not collaborate. Sound Familiar? This is not new news\, but how do you make it work? Where do you start? How do you make it a success each day? What Technologies are leading edge that works? \nBy Loren Gray\, Founder and CEO\, Hospitality Digital Marketing Inc \n\n\n\n\n\n16:40-17:00\nTour of Lloyd Hotel\n\n\n\n\n17:00-18:00\nDrinks and networking\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n[/mk_table][/vc_column][/vc_row]\n  \nAbout Dave Overeem\, CRME\, Corporate Revenue Manager\, Inntel Hotels \nDave knew at the age of 5\, that he wanted to work in hospitality. He graduated at Hotelschool The Hague in 2008 and started his career in Front Office operations in different hotels and brands. During his career\, he found his “love” for Revenue Management at a boutique style teaching hotel in Amsterdam back in 2012. Dave developed a revenue management strategy for this hotel\, that works out very well. Hotelschool The Hague was not teaching Revenue Management in the time Dave was a student there\, so he did an extra education to develop his knowledge on revenue management and wanted to be able to combine practical experience with the theoretical part of revenue management. Graduating with a 9+ for his final Revenue Management exam\, let him believe that he was made for Revenue Management. Nowadays he is leading the Revenue Management department of Inntel Hotels in The Netherlands. A family-owned hotel group of 6 four- and five-star hotels throughout The Netherlands and expanding with 2 hotels in the near future. Dave became a certified revenue management executive by HSMAI in May 2017. \n  \nAbout Loren Gray\, Founder and CEO\, Hospitality Digital Marketing Inc \nLoren Gray is the Founder and CEO of Hospitality Digital Marketing Inc.\, a full service consulting firm assisting businesses operating in the hospitality space. Services range from advanced marketing and revenue strategies\, to facilitating product and software services development to market to the hospitality industry. Domestic and International Clients range from property level\, to portfolio based brand\, and independent ownerships. \nPrior to launching HDM\, Mr. Gray was partner\, and Vice President of Digital Strategy at one of the top 5 largest agencies in Dallas\, TX\, where he redefined all internal protocols and created a successful integration of culture and collaboration of all services into one cohesive client-focused strategy\, thereby garnering the highest profitability and largest staff in the agency’s history along with its lowest annual staff attrition. Prior to that\, he spent 13 years as Director of eCommerce for Ocean Properties Ltd.\, the fourth largest privately held franchise hotel operator in North America and forty-seventh largest worldwide\, where he created and developed its entire Digital Marketing program. \nMr. Gray came through the ranks in the Hospitality industry through Food and Beverage\, Hotel Operations\, as General Manager of several brand- and non-brand resorts\, Regional Sales and Marketing\, and ultimately as Director of eCommerce. He has also owned and operated several Hospitality ventures. That operational and revenue management perspective\, when added to marketing and technology understanding\, has contributed to his ability to educate clients and connect seemly divergent programs into cohesive successful strategies. \nThroughout his work history\, Mr. Gray has actively participated as a member of several location organizations such as CVBs\, TDCs\, Chambers of Commerce and industry associations in Houston\, TX\, Melbourne\, FL\, Key Largo\, FL\, Palm Beach\, FL\, Dallas\, TX\, and the Caribbean\, Canada\, Australia and China. \n

SUMMARY:Ahoy Gastvrij Rotterdam
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\nAhoy Gastvrij in Rotterdam will take place Tuesday September 18th at Ahoy Gastvrij Rotterdam. VAT. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][mk_button corner_style=”rounded” size=”medium” letter_spacing=”6″ icon=”mk-icon-ticket” icon_anim=”side” url=”https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/ahoy-gastvrij-rotterdam-september-18th-tickets-47705381079″ target=”_blank” align=”center” fullwidth=”true” margin_top=”20″ margin_bottom=”20″ margin_right=”3″ animation=”left-to-right” bg_color=”#663399″]Sign up today![/mk_button][/vc_column][/vc_row]\nProgram:\n14.00 – 14.30:  Registration \n\n \n14.30 – 16.00: Presentation by Wouter de Vries jr \n\nWouter de Vries jr. has an interesting résumé.  He was a lumberjack\, kibbutz volunteer and road-sweeper. Not for a week\, but for almost ten years. “When I was in my twenties I could only think in terms of freedom and happiness. I was in a state of born-to-run euphoria. I travelled a lot and worked hard. I studied Economics\, but at the time I felt that was a complete waste of time. I was left-wing\, idealistic and recalcitrant. I loved it!” \nNowadays\, Wouter de Vries jr. teaches service management at the Free University of Amsterdam. “It feels like playing a home match”\, says de Vries\, who is one of the most important authors and keynote speakers in the Netherlands in his field. He wrote 14 books on marketing and management\, for example \n\n`Dienstenmarketing Management’ (‘Service marketing management)\, De Vries jr.\, Wouter & Piet J.C. van Helsdingen (2005).\n`Strategische Dienstverlening’ (‘Strategic service management’)\, De Vries jr. & Goud (2003)\, (Dutch\, English and German edition)\n\nWouter de Vries jr. is actively involved in six MBA programs in the Netherlands. In-home he has rendered his services to approximately 150 organisations. His work is best described as ‘criticism with a smile’. He wears his heart upon his sleeve and\, and the same time\, enjoys life. De Vries jr. knows how to appreciate a good joke. His lectures are always interactive\, which makes it easier for him to fool his audience and get the message across. He addresses themes that are relevant in almost any management environment. Discussions usually go on way after his lecture has ended. “At the age of 35 I bought my first suit and matching tie. At present I am familiair with the plush in the board room\, but I am still at ease on any work floor.” \n\n\n16.00 – 17.30: Visit Gastvrij Rotterdam & Networking drinks \n  \nA big thank you to our sponsor Gastvrij Rotterdam! \n[vc_row][vc_column][mk_button corner_style=”rounded” size=”medium” letter_spacing=”6″ icon=”mk-icon-ticket” icon_anim=”side” url=”https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/ahoy-gastvrij-rotterdam-september-18th-tickets-47705381079″ target=”_blank” align=”center” fullwidth=”true” margin_top=”20″ margin_bottom=”20″ margin_right=”3″ animation=”left-to-right” bg_color=”#663399″]Sign up today![/mk_button][/vc_column][/vc_row]
