An Active Autumn Ahead!
I hope you have had a wonderful summer and recharged your batteries. I certainly have and now we are ready for an exciting and action-packed season ahead!
I am delighted that the late Bob Gilbert has been inducted into the Events Industry Council’s Hall of Leaders. This well-deserved honor is a testament to his extraordinary leadership and lasting impact on HSMAI and our industry. Read more in the press release below in the newsletter.
Our very first post-summer event kicks off in the Netherlands on Tuesday, September 9, with the DigiTech | Commercial Strategy Forum | NL 2025, hosted at the NBC Congrescentrum in Nieuwegein. Read more & Sign up
From there, the momentum continues with fantastic gatherings in Lisbon, Oslo, and Madrid, followed by Palma, London, Paris, Munich and Rhodes. You can always check our continuously updated Events Calendar and sign up to our activities that will be updated often in the weeks to come.
KPIs will be on our agenda for our virtual Curate coming up for senior leaders (By Invitation Only). This topic was highlighted as especially important during our Leadership Day in London in January. The Curate will take place in the afternoon during the week starting October 20th.
In connection with WTM in London, we’re excited to host a roundtable for senior leaders, an engaging activity for Connecting Future Leaders, and a joint networking session to bring everyone together.
And that’s not all! We have a special gift for our HSMAI members who are eager to boost their revenue beyond hotel rooms. Thanks to the expertise of our Advisory Boards, HSMAI in the Americas has developed a brand-new Playbook, available for download exclusively to HSMAI members.
As you prepare budgets and strategies for 2026, HSMAI is excited to share the Ancillary Revenue Strategy Playbook: Going Beyond Room Revenue—a members-only resource to help you plan smarter for the year ahead.
Inside you will find:
- Real-world case studies from leading hotels
- Tactics to diversify revenue streams across rooms, F&B, parking, spa, recreation, and more
- Tools to evaluate vendor partnerships, optimize fees, and measure performance
This guide is designed to help you build a stronger 2026 plan by uncovering high-margin opportunities that enhance guest satisfaction and profitability.
