On 23rd August Availpro signed a new partnership agreement with the Vatel Group. From now on the group’s 30 schools located in Europe Asia North Africa and America will use Availpro’s online hotel distribution solutions. The agreement was signed following a call for tenders issued by the Vatel Group covering its application hotels with Availpro submitting the winning bid according to a press release from Availpro.

Vatel students will use Availpro to put their learning into practice

Vatel uses a teaching method based on a carefully designed combination of theoretical learning and professional experience. Students gain practical experience both in the schools’ practical workshops and through placements. In order to put their learning into practice the students will now be able to use Availpro solutions to conduct online hotel management and distribution activities in the Vatel Group’s four-star 90-room hotel in Switzerland.

They will have the opportunity to use the Availpro extranet to manage website mobile and Facebook page booking engines as well as distributor websites and the GDS channel. The Vatel Group also plans to test its students’ capabilities to the limit using Availpro’s competitor rate comparison (RateScreener) and guest satisfaction monitoring solutions.

Parag Joshi e-Marketing Manager at the Vatel Group is excited by the new opportunities that this partnership will offer the group’s students:

“With this new arrangement the Vatel Group sits firmly at the cutting edge of the hotel and tourism management training sector offering its students a unique opportunity to learn about the tools of the future. The Availpro solutions will soon be rolled out to the Group’s other application hotels. This is just the very beginning of our partnership.”

Availpro will provide online distribution technology training to Vatel Group students

In order to cement this partnership Availpro has also agreed to deliver e-distribution training directly to students at Vatel schools in France and Switzerland. These training sessions open to both Vatel students and hotel owners (i.e. their future employers) will help to build stronger links between the educational sector and the hotel management industry.

Philippe Lamarche Chairman of the Board of Directors at Availpro explains the importance of this strategy:

“One of our key priorities is to take the lead in training the hotel industry managers and executives of the future. Online distribution is now the leading distribution channel in this sector and this trend will continue into the future. It therefore makes sense for us to ensure that schools and training institutions are producing managers capable of using the tools of the future.”
