Kelly Holmes, Double Olympic Champion, Colonel and a Dame!

Colonel Dame Kelly Holmes is an icon and an inspiration, joining the British Army at seventeen where she served for nearly ten years as a physical training instructor and judo champion. Kelly went on to tackle a twelve-year international career, being a multi-Olympian in track and field, making history with accolades including being honored with Damehood for her services to the sport. True to form, Kelly has not slowed down since, creating her own charity which supports disadvantaged youth, becoming an award-winning author, and being a continuous advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. Join us for an edge-of-your-seat keynote where Kelly Holmes will tell all about her transformational life journey with important learnings our audience can take away about being persistent, authentic, and inclusive.

Introduction to the topic: Win-Win: Aligning Hotel Owner and Operator Commercial Strategies for Business Success

Hotel owners and management companies share an interest in maximizing sales and GOPAR. Higher revenue and operating profit provides additional funds to cover occupation costs and generate increased net profit for owners. It also increases the incentive fee paid to operating companies, rewarding managers for their commercial excellence. While conflicts can arise over property-level marketing decisions, hotels achieve improved performance when owners and operators are aligned on sales, pricing and distribution strategies. Similarly, franchisors and franchisees optimize mutual profitability when commercial initiatives are coordinated. The autumn curate will provide a unique forum for senior industry leaders to boldly explore how to align owner and management commercial strategies for business success.
