Spotlight on Change: New Global CEO, London Events, and Celebrating Industry Partners

I would first like to start off by extending a warm welcome to Brian Hicks, the new President & CEO of HSMAI America and HSMAI Global. Brian has taken over the leadership following the recent passing of Bob Gilbert, and he brings with him a deep commitment to our mission, a wealth of competence along with a fresh perspective that will drive our organisation forward. This November, HSMAI Europe is hosting an exciting series of activities in London. Our Fall Curate (by invitation only) on Thursday 7th November, will explore the vital topic of Commercialisation of Sustainability. The following day, the Future of the HSMAI Europe Brand? – Exploratory Prototype Workshop will focus on the future of the HSMAI brand, Lastly, on Thursday 14th November, the Future of Sales conference, a must-attend for those looking to stay ahead in hospitality sales strategy.

In December the sales conference will take place in Oslo  for the second time.

With a busy few months ahead of us, see here for our preliminary calendar of events.

The calendar with the rest of the dates for 2025 will be published after we have been through the many planning sessions in the next weeks and months.

We are excited to introduce a new award this year, designed to honour outstanding vendors who bring immense value to the hospitality industry. With this award, we want to spotlight excellence among the many dedicated partners who support our mission and our industry. The award process will unfold in two steps:

1. Member Nominations – Our members will be invited to nominate vendors they believe deserve this recognition.
2. Member Voting – Once nominations are in, members will vote on the shortlisted candidates.

The award winner will be presented in January during our Commercial Strategy Week.
