HSMAI Europe Strengthens its Commitment to Future Hospitality Leaders with Key Appointment and Expanded Roster of Initiatives For Students and Young Professionals

Former HSMAI Europe Student Council Chair Yana Kyrylyuk Appointed Young Talent Programme Manager – a Newly Created Role Designed to Scale-Up Student and Early Career Projects

London, UK – February 12 2025: HSMAI Europe is doubling down on its commitment to nurturing future hospitality leaders with the appointment of Yana Kyrylyuk as Young Talent Programme Manager. A natural fit for the role, Yana transitions from Chair of the HSMAI Europe Student Council to steer projects that guide students and young professionals towards thriving careers in the industry.

At a time when attracting young talent remains one of hospitality’s biggest challenges, HSMAI Europe is expanding its initiatives to bridge the gap between education and industry. Under Yana’s management, the association will enhance existing programmes and introduce new opportunities designed to equip students with the skills, connections, and confidence needed to succeed.

“HSMAI Europe is committed to fostering young talent, and with Yana in this role, we are taking our efforts to the next level. She is a perfect example of how engagement with HSMAI can transform a student’s career path. Her passion, experience, and dedication make her the ideal person to inspire and support the next generation of hospitality professionals.”

said Ingunn Hofseth, President & CEO of HSMAI Europe.

Yana’s journey with HSMAI Europe has been transformative, providing her with industry exposure, coaching, and hands-on experience. Now, she aims to ensure more students and young professionals benefit from the same opportunities.

From the Future You initiative – designed to inspire graduating high-school, college and university students to consider hospitality careers – to the launch of the Commercial Career Start Programme, which bridges academic learning with real-world industry needs, Yana will oversee a comprehensive young talent development pipeline.

Her role also includes supporting the Student Council, developing and coordinating volunteering and internship opportunities, as well as graduation projects.

“HSMAI Europe is not just about connecting industry professionals – it’s about creating tangible opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and contribute to the hospitality industry. I’m excited to help strengthen the future of hospitality by empowering up-and-coming talent in my new role.”

Yana says.
