Preparations for the HSMAI events which will take place in the capital of Spanish hospitality, Palma de Mallorca, between the 9th and 11th of April, co-located with HFTP’s HITEC Europe this spring, are well underway. “We encourage industry professionals keen to learn more on revenue strategies and distribution, as well as hospitality marketing and technology and more, to make sure not to miss this unique opportunity,” says HSMAI Region Europe President and CEO Ingunn Hofseth.
“HSMAI ROC & DOC Europe has always been a critical event on the calendars of revenue, distribution and marketing leaders and innovators. It is a unique opportunity for senior executives, practitioners, suppliers and young professionals to meet, network, learn about new trends and share best practices. There has never been a better time to be in the industry, as we see change all around us with technology, science and data continuing to grow in importance for the hospitality industry,” says Paul van Meerendonk (right), Director Global Advisory Services, IDeaS and Chair of the HSMAI Region Europe Revenue Optimization Advisory Board.
HSMAI will be hosting the following events during the three Palma days, targeting different audiences:
- The Curate (April 9th), which is an HSMAI Executive Insights Forum and a singular opportunity to connect with contemporaries around emerging issues and growing trends, resulting in invaluable insights that can help partakers and their companies lead through the most critical business concerns that the industry is, and will be, dealing with.
- The ROC & DOC (April 10th), Europe’s number one place for the latest trends and news in Revenue Optimization, Digital Marketing and Distribution. Top experts and inspirational speakers will be sharing their insights and tips on these topics.
- A Think Tank (April 11th), co-hosted by HSMAI and HFTP, for CMOs and CIOs. The subject will be “The Strategic Integration of Marketing and Technologies.”
- HSMAI Region Europe’s CRME certification (April 11th), which translates to the Certified Revenue Management Executive (CRME) certification. The more you know, and the more you can prove you know, the better ROI you can provide to your employer or prospective employer, the more you can improve your company’s bottom line, and the better you can position yourself in your chosen discipline.
Spain’s leading hospitality hub
“Attendants will also be able to visit HFTP’s HITEC Europe, taking place at the very same venue,” Ingunn Hofseth (right) explains, in reference to the co-located conference and exposition held by HSMAI Region Europe’s long-time partner HFTP.
The locations are Meliá Palma Bay and the Palau de Congressos.
Palma is the capital of the Spanish hospitality industry. Here you will find most of the major groups’ head offices, such as Meliá, Barcelo, Iberostar, Riu, Pineiro, to name but a few. Also many providers, and of course a lot of smaller groups and independent hotels are based in the city.
With regard to logistics Mallorca has the third largest airport in Spain, following Barcelona and Madrid, with a lot of direct flights, especially low cost airlines, from all over Europe.
