Supporting in times of need
Like many around the world I have been watching the events unfold involving Ukraine and Russia with horror and a concern for all those affected. At this time my thoughts particularly go out to our members and their families and friends who are personally impacted.
Your organisation may already be supporting those who have been forced to relocate, it is certainly at times like these that I am reminded of how the hospitality industry is in a powerful position to unite, and together make a valuable contribution. For members who are already actively supporting refugees, your experience and insights on how others can be part of this industry effort will be highly valuable to consolidate and share. To aid this, HSMAI Europe will be setting up an online hub for members to give positive and practical insights on how hotels across Europe can help.
We are also discussing with the HSMAI Europe Board of Directors on how we at HSMAI Region Europe can make a difference, and we will get back to you on that next week.
