Meet the speakers

Remy Merckx, an accomplished leader in the Travel and Hospitality industry with over 25 years of expertise. Having worked for Radisson Hotel Group and Accor for 11 years, Remy now serves as an independent Senior Advisor & Head of Travel and Hospitality for global business management and TravTech startups. He specializes in developing Global Digital Strategy, optimizing Digital Marketing, managing Content Marketing, Data Management & Analytics, and commercial distribution to enhance Customer Experience and increase conversion rate and customer lifetime value while decreasing the cost of acquisition. With his extensive experience in Online Distribution, where he managed Hospitality Partnerships with global hotel chains at Expedia, Remy also helps businesses optimize their distribution channels for improved profitability.

Julien Barré, a true hotelier at heart. With three generations of hoteliers in his family, it’s no surprise that he’s found his passion in the industry. With 18 years of experience under his belt, Julien has worked his way up to become the Director of Revenue and Reservations at the luxurious Hôtel de Crillon, a part of the renowned Rosewood group, located in the heart of Paris. His expertise in revenue management and reservations has been honed through years of dedication and commitment to the craft, and his love for the industry has only grown stronger with time. He is now promoted to a leading European, EMEAC region including Middle East Africa and part of the Caribbean role for Rosewood and will be based in Amsterdam. Julien is also a member of the HSMAI Europe Revenue Optimization Advisory Board.

Christophe Bataillard, specialist in revenue development backed by 30 years of operational background in different organizations for deluxe brands such as Sofitel, Christophe created Optimiser Consulting in 2010 to help independent hoteliers to understand their “Go To Market” environment, and to play in at their best, with all levers touching the revenue structure. He is also lecturer in Revenue Management & e-commerce in several business schools for Hospitality MBA students. Currently, Christophe is an accomplished Market Place Project Director at Stairway Management.
