HSMAI EUROPE CALLS ON HOSPITALITY, TRAVEL AND EVENT LEADERS TO JOIN ITS EXPANDING BOARD OF DIRECTORS
London, UK – November 21 2023: HSMAI Europe, the European arm of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI), the industry’s leading advocate for intelligent, sustainable revenue growth globally, is calling on hospitality, travel and event leaders to join its expanding board of directors.
With the association looking to grow and evolve its board to reflect the fast-changing dynamics and demographics of the UK and European sector, it is seeking a broader representation, including leaders from smaller and mid-sized companies, focusing on diversity.
Desired expertise and knowledge for a board of directors seat includes revenue management, commercial, marketing, sales, digitalisation, Artificial Intelligence and sustainability, all of which mirror HSMAI Europe’s growing membership and current industry trends.
Leaders interested in the role should represent a wide range of companies including hotel chains of all sizes; suppliers of software solutions to the industry; events agencies; industry vendors and partners; and national and regional travel-related companies.’
“But above all, leaders joining our board of directors will be experienced professionals who are motivated to make a real difference in our sector; those committed to spearheading huge industry impact,” said Martin Firing Jørgensen, chair of the HSMAI Region Europe nomination committee.
“Enriching and expanding our board with new talent from a broader range of companies and disciplines will ensure we fully represent our growing pan-European membership and the trends shaping our industry and ultimately, will help us work closely with all stakeholders in key markets as we look to deepen our regional presence.”

HSMAI Europe has ambitions to grow its board of directors up to 25 leaders, a considerable jump from the current eight. To be considered for the role, candidates must be an employee at a company with an HSMAI membership and be passionate about driving industry change through collaboration, knowledge sharing and championing best practices.
The first of three annual board meetings will take place in London on January 17th, 2024, prior to HSMAI Europe’s Leadership Day and its hotly anticipated annual ROC conference and the HSMAI Awards Europe on January 18th .
