Mia is passionate about talent development, specializing in organisational behaviour and change management. With a senior executive background, both as an academic and in industry: as head of hospitality degrees at the University of West London and at Glion Hotel School, Switzerland, as a senior consultant with Disney / Europcar and as Head of Management Development & Training at Sheraton hotels, Europe, Middle East, Africa and South East Asia. Mia is Education Adviser to HSMAI Europe.
Robert Holan is currently the General Manager at The Thief in Oslo and has studied at Cornell University in New York. He began his career as a waiter and bartender, advancing to roles such as Head Waiter and Restaurant Manager. Robert has extensive experience as a General Manager in reputable hotel chains such as Strawberry and Radisson, and has also gained international experience in various countries including Ireland and Slovakia. Today, he is a driving force behind The Thief’s current success.
Robert currently serves as the president of the Cornell Hotel Society in Norway.
In 2008, Robert Holan won the Young Hotelier of the Year award at the HSMAI Awards Norway.
