Q:æWhat does a day at work consist of for you?

A:æActually this is difficult to answer since every day is so different. But each day has a lot of interaction with the team the hotels and the colleagues from E-Business Marketing Operations Sales etc.

Q:æWhat’s the best part of your job?

A:æIt is the diversity. Working with the teams on various projects strategies and operational processes.

Q:æDo you have anyone you’ve looked up to?

A:æIn all my career stations I have had some people I have looked up to. My parents however have been a big example for me.

Q:æDo you have any nice traditions at your office?

A:æEvery 6 weeks we have a Floor Breakfast. In our building we have around 8 floors and together with E-Business and Brand Marketing who are sharing our floor we organise a breakfast. Every team brings something to the table and for an hour we network and talk. It is great fun and now and then we also have visitors from the other floors who are always welcome to join!æ

Q:æHow long have you been a member of HSMAI?

A:æI became a member early 2015.

Q:æWhat do you think is the best thing about HSMAI?

A:æBesides of course the networking and meeting interesting people it is the opportunity to take part in developing the industry. The engagement and development of young professionals will help the industry.

Q:æAre there any activities or projects you think HSMAI should start up?

A:æThere are many good projects running at the moment and I think we should continue to focus on our young professionals since they are our future.

Q:æDescribe your perfect weekend.

A:æUnwind for a few days on a sailing boat at the Ijsselmeer.

Q:æIf you were trapped on a desert island what would you take with you if you could choose one thing?

A:æFirst of all I would be very nervous about being trapped on a desert island but I would take a satellite telephone with me so I can call someone to pick me up when I think time spent on the island has been sufficient.

Q:æWhat is the title of the book about your life?

A:æMaking a difference.

Q:æWhat is your next travel destination?

A:æ I have just come back a few days ago from New York so at the moment have not made my mind up. There are still so many countries and places on the to-do list. Very much at the top of the list would be New Zealand.

Q:æDo you have any special hobbies?

A:æI love sailing but have definitely chosen the wrong location (Frankfurt) for that!
