On Thursday 20th October HSMAI Region Europe held its second afternoon event in Helsinki this year, this time taking place at the newly-opened Clarion Hotel Helsinki.
HSMAI Region Europe organises more than 50 events per year across Europe for the hospitality industry. Besides the existing events, in 2016 the organisation has become active also in Finland, Sweden and Spain, and currently has members in 19 European countries.
The afternoon event at Clarion Hotel Helsinki gathered together hospitality professionals from many leading hotels and hotel chains in Finland as well as vendors to the industry.
On the agenda there was a presentation by Nina Nieminen,ÊDirector of Revenue Management and DistributionÊSOK Travel and Hospitality Industry Chain Management (Sokos Hotels) and a member of HSMAI Region Europe Distribution Advisory Board, on herÊinvolvement in HSMAI and the benefits of being part of the pan-European association. Other topics of the day revolved around event planning and customer experience byÊJorma Pekkala, Meeting & Event Manager at Clarion Hotel Helsinki / Clarion Hotel Helsinki Airport / Nordic Choice Hotels Finland as well asÊRichard Hylerstedt,Êinterdisciplinary facilitator and designer.
After the presentations there was a show-round of the hotel followed by a visit to the Sky Room on the 16th floor that offers wonderful views over Helsinki.
