The TUI subsidiary ROBINSON to expand into the Asian market in 2017: The first resort in Thailand is to be located in Khao Lak and brands second resort in the Maldives, the ROBINSON Club Noonu on the island of Orivaru, currently under construction. ÒROBINSON is becoming more international Ð long-haul destinations are very popular and a growing market says Managing Director Bernd MŠser.

ROBINSON plans to open two new resorts in Asia in 2017. ROBINSON is consistently forging ahead with its growth strategy and is set to open its first resort in Thailand with the ROBINSON Club Khao Lak. ÒWe are clearly focusing on long-haul destinations, which are becoming more and more popular with holidaymakers and offer a great deal of potential for ROBINSONÓ, says Bernd MŠser, CEO of the TUI subsidiary Robinson Club GmbH. The company is currently constructing another resort in the Maldives, which will also be hosting the first guests in autumn 2017. ÒWe are delighted to be able to offer our guests two new ROBINSON Clubs in Asia this yearÓ, MŠser went on to say.

ROBINSON Club Khao Lak / Thailand

The ROBINSON Club

Khao Lak, located on the west coast of Thailand approximately 85 kilometres away from Phuket, is situated amid the unspoilt scenery of the Khao Lak rainforest. The property comprising of more than 280,000 square metres, is located directly on the beach, and lies roughly eight kilometres from the city centre of Khao Lak. The resort boasts 320 rooms and villas in 14 categories of up to 350 square metres and caters particularly to couples and singles but also for families with children. The resort has five swimming pools, as well as a family pool in addition to a ChildrenÕs paddling pool with a water slide. ROBINSON therefore appeals to an international audience. ÒWe want to attract holidaymakers from Europe as well as from Asia and Australia. ROBINSON, as a Club brand, will become more international within the premium segment. Asia is more than suitable as a target destinationÓ, says Bernd MŠser. Guests can indulge themselves in a wide range of culinary delights in three speciality restaurants and look forward to full board made by ROBINSON. There will be a ROBY Club for children from three years and onwards. Guests can also take part in a extensive variety of sporting activities, with a special focus placed on WellFit¨ with GroupFitness, Body&Mind courses and a WellFit¨-Spa. Great emphasis will also be placed on tennis, football, volleyball, basketball as well as archery. For those guests who have a love of water sports, Stand Up Paddling and Kayaking will be offered. A remarkable choice of excursion options range from trekking, cycling or beach walks along the long sweeping beaches of

Khao Lak to trips to numerous national and marine parks, such as the famous Similan Islands. One of the most beautiful and best diving and snorkelling destinations in the world.

As of January, the ROBINSON Club Khao Lak will be undergoing numerous construction work leading up to the opening. The ROBINSON sports complex with its tennis, football and beach volleyball courts will be completely rebuilt. In addition, a theatre will be constructed and the WellFit¨ area will be lavishly designed according to its high standards. The main restaurant including the buffet, kitchen and main bar will also be extensively renovated and extended.

ROBINSON Club Noonu / Maldives

The ROBINSON Club Noonu will open its doors to guests on the island of Orivaru likewise in autumn 2017. The approximately 150,000 square metre island with its very own lagoon is surrounded by a fine sandy beach and is located in the Noonu Atoll about 200 kilometres north of the capital MalŽ. A total of 60 water villas, 50 beach villas and 40 double-storey villas with high quality furnishings and fittings are currently being developed on the island. Transfer time is approximately 45 minutes via seaplane.
