Meet Hisham Mansour

Former Team Leader Meeting & Events, Radisson Hotel Group,  former Member of the Connecting Future Leaders Committee Norway

Tell us about your journey in hospitality so far – what drew you to the industry and keeps you passionate about it today?

I started in events, not hotels. I loved the fast pace, the planning, and the feeling of creating something that brings people together. That’s what pulled me further into hospitality. What keeps me passionate today is the mix of people, teamwork, and constant learning. No day is the same, and I like that.

What motivated you to join the Connecting Future Leaders Committee Norway, and how has working alongside peers from other companies helped you expand your network and develop new perspectives?

I joined because I wanted to grow, challenge myself, and learn from people outside my own company. It’s easy to stay in your own bubble otherwise. Working with peers from other hotels and brands has opened my mind. I’ve gained new perspectives, a stronger network, and ideas I wouldn’t have come to alone.

Connecting Future Leaders (CFL) events are an important part of HSMAI Europe; what’s been your most memorable takeaway or moment from one of these events?

My most memorable moment was realizing how open and honest everyone was willing to be. You expect networking events to be polished, but CFL felt real. The discussions weren’t about showing off; they were about growth, mistakes, learnings, and ambition. One session in particular made me rethink how I lead my own team- it shifted my mindset from “performing leadership” to “practicing leadership.”

What excites you most about the future of hospitality, and how do you see yourself contributing to that future?

The future feels more personal and creative, and that motivates me. Technology is improving things, but the human connection still matters most. I see myself contributing by building strong teams, clearer routines, and better experiences for both staff and guests.

For young hotel and travel professionals who might be thinking, “Is this for me?” – what would you say to encourage them to get involved?

Give it a try. Hospitality teaches you confidence, communication, and leadership faster than almost anything else. And HSMAI Europe gives you a community that helps you grow, share ideas, and find your path.
