Meet Kevin Passon
Director of Business Development at Six Senses London, member of the HSMAI Europe Rising Leaders Council (United Kingdom)
For Kevin Passon, Director of Business Development at Six Senses London, hospitality has always been about understanding people. A lifelong traveller with a deep interest in wellbeing, his career has taken him from Hilton and The Doyle Collection to Six Senses, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, where he is helping shape a more considered approach to luxury – one centred on longevity, mindfulness, and experiences that leave guests feeling genuinely restored.
Reflecting on his time with the HSMAI Europe Rising Leaders Council, Kevin describes it as a rare opportunity for honest conversation and shared learning.
“HSMAI Europe creates a space where you can speak openly, exchange ideas, and realise that many of the challenges you face are shared by others,” he says. “It’s almost like professional therapy – you leave every conversation with a fresh perspective.”
For Kevin, the future of hospitality lies in recognising that luxury is becoming increasingly personal. What one guest values most may be entirely different to another and understanding that distinction is what creates truly memorable experiences.
“Guests are looking for experiences that support their mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing,” he explains. “For some, luxury is complete privacy or uninterrupted sleep. For others, it’s time to reconnect with themselves or the people they’re travelling with. The beauty of luxury today is that it’s deeply personal, and our role is to understand what matters to each individual rather than define it for them.”
Asked what advice he would offer the next generation of hospitality leaders; Kevin’s answer is simple: “Focus on your strengths,” he says. “Build your career around what you do well and what you genuinely enjoy. That’s where you’ll have the greatest impact.“
