08:40 – 09:30: Anders Johansson – CEO of Demand Calendar and member of HSMAI Europe Nordic Region Advisory Board

Anders Johansson, a renowned expert in hotel revenue management based in Sweden, will introduce and delve into the concept of Profit-Oriented Revenue Management (PORM). Moving beyond traditional revenue metrics, such as occupancy and RevPAR, PORM represents a profound shift in focus toward profitability at every level of operation. Anders will discuss the essential components of PORM, including a comprehensive understanding of Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and its vital role in optimising profitability.

09:30 – 10:30: Amina Hamade – Profit Manager Food & Beverage / Event at Strawberry (formerly Nordic Choice Hotels)

Amina will discuss the power of data analytics in restaurant revenue management. Learn how the analysis of POS data has not only improved business understanding, but also enhanced server sales, customer satisfaction, and overall profitability. This session will be in English.

Amina Hamade, Profit Manager Food & Beverage / Event at Strawberry (formerly Nordic Choice Hotels)

Amina Hamade is a seasoned professional in the hospitality industry with a wealth of experience in optimizing restaurant revenue. Currently working on an exciting restaurant revenue management optimization project within Strawberry (formerly Nordic Choice Hotels), Amina has made significant contributions to enhancing profitability and customer satisfaction across a diverse portfolio of restaurants.

 

Amina’s journey in the hospitality sector began at the prestigious Mandarin Oriental luxury property, where she gained hands-on management training. She later transitioned to Dubai, managing events, and became part of the pre-opening team at the renowned Four Seasons Hotel. Amina’s dedication to the industry led her to work with the Global Revenue Management team at Accor, where she spearheaded the launch of an annual server coaching and profit optimization program for various Accor hotel brands and regions.

Anders Johansson, CEO at Demand Calendar

With over 30 years of experience in leading positions within hotels and restaurants, Anders Johansson has pioneered revenue management principles in the hospitality sector since the late 1980s. In addition to his role at Demand Calendar, Anders has been a consultant for the past ten years, assisting businesses in creating business models, visions, and brands and increasing revenue streams.

 

Anders has also been sharing his extensive knowledge as a lecturer for 18 years, teaching two 5-week courses in Strategic Revenue Management at the School of Hospitality, Culinary Arts & Meal Science at Örebro University in Sweden.

 

Furthermore, Anders has held various board member positions in notable companies such as Forenom, InnSpire, Kämp Collection Hotels, and Bohemia Properties.

 

Anders holds an International Business, accounting, and finance degree from the Stockholm School of Economics. Today, Anders is the CEO of Demand Calendar, a company dedicated to helping commercial teams in the hospitality industry optimize revenue streams and increase profitability.
