Upskill and Reskill
Yesterday we hosted our first «in person» event in Amsterdam since the start of the pandemic.
“Upskill and Reskill” is the theme for all the HSMAI Europe Days, and we are very pleased with the response from our Dutch members and industry peers. One of the issues discussed at our event in Amsterdam were the challenges our industry is facing post pandemic due to staffing shortages. Also statistics show that 60% of Hospitality students leave the industry after graduating. Therefore, whilst in Amsterdam, I had the pleasure of visiting the Amsterdam campus of the Hotelschool The Hague. We aim to cooperate as much as we can by working closely with Hotel schools and the industry as a whole in order to promote the Hospitality Industry as an attractive and exciting career path for Hospitality students.
