During the HSMAI Day in Amsterdam on October the 4th, and the HSMAI Days taking place in other countries during the fall, HSMAI Region Europe and the Germany-based company Customer Alliance are set to hand out national awards.

The awards are based on customer satisfaction and reviews in various portals, such as TripAdvisor,,, Google, Facebook and so on, divided into the three categories hotels, restaurants, and attractions and experiences. Customer Alliance has completed a near complete survey of the Dutch hotel and restaurant market.

The Dutch winners will be announced on the HSMAI Day at the Van der Valk Hotel Amsterdam on October the 4th.

Customer Alliance has applied a wide specter of criteria while assessing the candidates and reaching a nomination in each category, involving judgement of not only the scope of reviews and average score over the past twelve months, but also the management’s response to guest feedback, as well as an internal and proprietary, semantic analysis, in order to understand the guest response.

Customer Alliance has compiled an as complete basis for an overview of the Dutch travel and hospitality industry as possible, which is also going to be the case in other countries marking the HSMAI Day, which is to say Norway, the UK, Germany, Spain and Sweden, to begin with.

The awards will be handed out annually, based on the year past since last time, so that candidates won’t be able to rest on last year’s accomplishments.
